Welcome to SongFreaks! Since we’re new – and you’re new here too – we thought we’d take a minute to explain what it is we’re all about. Less a manifesto and more a statement of purpose, if you will. Still with us? Simply put, SongFreaks ain’t your grandma’s lyrics site – although we’re sure she’s rather nice. No, we’re looking to do things a little differently around here, add a few features we think are fundamentally lacking on most other sites, and rise above the clutter to emerge a shining beacon of hope among music communities on the Interweb. Yeah, that’s getting a bit manifesto-y. I’ll dial it down. Here’s the deal: We created SongFreaks as a place for music lovers to hang out and communicate in a constantly evolving environment that you help create. Yes, we’ve got millions of high-quality lyrics, tons of artist info, up-to-the-minute music news, stellar original content and a clean, well-designed site, but the focus here is on you. Contribute as much or as little as you want, whenever you want. Cool? We’d like to think so. And did we mention our app? Tap on over to the iPhone App Store and download the free SongFreaks app, which packs in the same sweet features as our site without the need to duct tape a hot, wheezing PC to your back to take SongFreaks on the subway – which, from experience, we strongly do not recommend. Well, that about brings you up to speed for now, dear reader. In the coming days and weeks we’ll be adding even more features, and we’re always adding more content to stay up-to- date with the Biebers, Gagas and Kanyes of the music world.
